General

  • We offer a variety of mobile sports, fitness, and personal training services! Our services range from swimming to personal training to sports cross-training and more! Don't see your specific activity listed? Reach out to us! Our trainers are often able to accommodate based on what you're looking for!

  • We service a wide variety of clients depending on the service. For swimming, we begin as young as 1 year old all the way up to adults. For sports, our services are best suited for those between the age of 4-14. For personal training, our services are best suited for those ages 12+.

  • Both! We offer 1:1 instruction as well as group instruction. For groups, you are responsible for assembling your group.

  • The cost of each session depends on the package you select. All sessions are 30 or 60 minutes in duration which includes any notes, discussions, or questions following the session. Given the nature of a mobile business, it is crucial that we begin promptly at the scheduled start time to maximize your time. Under no circumstances can your trainer stay beyond the scheduled end time.

  • Yes! Our multi-session packages have savings built in. For group sessions of 3-4 participants, all clients receive 10% off their package price. For groups of 5-6 participants, all clients receive 20% off their package price. Our Bronze and Gold packages may be shared between a maximum of two and three people, respectively.

  • We are completely mobile! Our services take place at the location of your choosing. This can be a nearby park, your own yard, a community pool, or a family/friend's home or pool. For personal training, clients have the option for sessions to take place at our private gym in Chatsworth, CA.

  • Our trainers come equipped with most of what is needed for each session. All you are responsible for is yourselves and personal gear such as a hat, gloves, goggles, etc.

  • We teach in a gentle, sustainable way. Our trainers go at the client’s pace, pushing just enough for progress but never creating an unpleasant or traumatic experience. We encourage and celebrate progress, improvement, and effort.

  • Our trainers are experienced and trained to look for key indicators from clients to guide the path and pace of the session. We take into account age, current abilities, future goals, and the style in which clients respond best to. If you have any specific requests or concerns, please reach out to us and we'll be sure to let your trainer know ahead of your session!

  • YES! Part of what we value at NH Sports is building relationships. Our trainers so often become a part of our clients’ families. You’ll have the same trainer every time, with the exception of vacations or personal days in which case a fully briefed substitute trainer will cover your session.

  • Our team is reputably certified by The American Red Cross and the International Sports Science Association. Our trainer's certifications include CPR/First Aid, Lifeguard, Youth Fitness, Personal Training, Nutrition, and more! In addition, all trainers undergo numerous weeks of training with NH Sports in order to ensure our services are always high quality and consistent amongst trainers.

  • Absolutely. Our trainers have experience and expertise in working with a variety of disabilities and special needs. It is best for you to email us ahead of your session so we can discuss and your trainer can have a custom game plan for you from day one!

  • We pride ourselves on providing the best customer service. If after your first session, you’re not completely satisfied and decide not to move forward with us, we’ll issue a full refund — no questions asked. If you experience anything less than extraordinary with us at any time, please reach out at info@nhsports.co and we will make it right.

  • Due to the nature of being a mobile business, we have a strict rescheduling/cancellation policy out of respect for our trainers and our clients. Depending on the package you purchase, you have a limited number of rescheduling opportunities. Reschedules must be made with a minimum of 24 hours notice and be rescheduled for a date prior to the package expiration date. After the package reschedule limit has been met, further sessions requiring rescheduling will be forfeited. Reschedules or cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be forfeited. There are no exceptions, including for illness or unfavorable weather.

Swimming


  • Our swim season runs from April-September.

  • We see the best results with clients who do an “initial kickoff” which is 4 sessions per week for 1-2 weeks after which they continue with 2 sessions/week.

  • It’s normal and expected for kids to cry for the first few sessions. The new environment and new trainer can take some getting used to. We typically see kids become more comfortable after a few weeks. It’s crucial during this time period for parents to refrain from “rescuing” the child from the trainer’s arms, as this confirms the child’s fear of the environment and trainer.

  • It’s normal and expected to be afraid in unfamiliar territory! Our trainers are well versed in creating a comfortable and safe environment. Our trainers will be with you every step of the way!

  • Water safety and swimming are two very different things. We’ve had clients become water safe in two weeks while some take months. Factors include previous trauma in the water, frequency of sessions, parent involvement, and age just to name a few. At your first session, your trainer will be able to provide a better timeline as well as specific tips to help your child become water safe as quickly as they can! As for swimming proficiently, this can take years! We’ve had clients stay with us from their infant and toddler years, learning water safety, through young adolescence, perfecting strokes!

  • Parents may accompany kids under the age of 18 months, but it’s not required. We don’t recommend accompanying kids older than 18 months as it can be distracting and limiting.

  • Yes. 88℉ is customary. Don't have a heater? You can purchase a solar cover for your pool which heats the water with just sunlight!

Lifeguarding


  • As a rough guide, the ratio is 10 people to 1 lifeguard. This can fluctuate based on the age and skill level of your event attendees. Please email us to discuss the details of your event if you have any questions!

  • This depends on the specifics of your event. Some things to consider include nature of the event, age/skill level of guests, etc. Feel free to email us with your event details so we can provide additional insight for you!

  • We are happy to book with you anytime, subject to availability. For events of 90 minutes or less there’s greater flexibility for booking, while events longer than 90 minutes will be best booked with a minimum of one month’s notice. As always, it’s best to book as soon as you know the date for your event.

  • Our lifeguard’s primary responsibility is the safety of all guests in attendance. At the discretion and comfort of the lifeguard, the lifeguard may coordinate water games such as Marco-Polo, Colors, etc. For events with more than one lifeguard, we can arrange entertainment ahead of time.

Personal Training


  • Our programs are centered around sustainability and are designed to create long-term success. Our trainers believe in moderation and balance, no strict diets here! We strive for our clients to fall in love with training and be excited for sessions, which means we’ll constantly tweak things to ensure you’re enjoying every workout. We encourage you to do and eat the things you enjoy while balancing your fitness and health goals!

  • We specialize in training people looking to build muscle, lose fat, look better, and most importantly, feel better. Specifically for our athletes, we focus on improving muscle strength, muscular endurance, and speed/power to enhance sports performance.

  • Our trainers have nutrition certifications and nutrition coaching is included in your custom plan at no additional charge.

  • Your trainer will share a program with you via Google Sheets where your numbers will be recorded each session. This is also where your trainer will program for your independent workouts!

  • Our trainers have experience with young teenagers, athletes, and everyday people just looking to get healthy. Whatever your experience is, we want to help you reach your goals! Your trainer will have a phone consultation with you where you can discuss your current abilities, goals, healthy history, and anything else you think may be relevant in creating your custom plan.

  • Most clients train twice a week, but we have clients who train just once a week and we have clients who train five times a week! Your trainer can also program workouts for you to do on days you aren't with your trainer, subject to an additional fee depending on your package. Whatever your schedule and budget allows, we will customize a plan for you.

  • Yes. Please email us to discuss a custom virtual training plan and pricing.

  • The price for each session includes unlimited texts and video exchanges directly with your trainer. You can reach out to your trainer with any questions that arise during your independent workouts, questions about recovery days, or anything else related to your fitness journey! Your trainer is also available for any nutritional questions you may have throughout the week.

Sports


  • For older clients, some strength and conditioning will be incorporated into the sessions. Our trainers are also happy to provide some guidance for independent strength and conditioning work. For more elaborate strength and conditioning programming, consider our personal training services!

  • Training games is a great activity to help kids find what sport they like, act as a bridge between private instruction and leagues, allow parents to conveniently have multiple kids in multiple sports with a single organization, keep kids entertained and active year-round, and improve overall mental & physical health.

  • Cross-training involves combining different exercise modalities to create a diversified base of fitness and athletic ability. At NH Sports, we do this through sports! Playing multiple sports exposes kids to different stimulation, activities, movements, people, and environments to learn from. The constantly changing environment can help minimize sport burnout, improve strength and coordination, and create a life-long love for staying active!
